As I enter into training I’m facing a new challenge. What fuel options should I use/try? Although I’ve been vegetarian since 2008 and vegan since 2010 this will be my first “big” season racing. I’ve been researching to see what my options are and am looking to put some to the test. Unfortunately, I do not have any stores locally that carry a ton of options so I would have to order. With that being said, I didn’t want to order a ton of products only to find I didn’t care for them or they weren’t the right product for me.
Recently the kind people at Vega Sport answered my call for help and sent along this cool box filled to the brim with fueling options in all of their flavors. I’ve wanted to try their products for awhile, but I’ve also been reading The Thrive Diet (thanks to Laura!), and have been implementing some of the ideas Brendan Brazier, creator of Vega Products, recommends.
I will be trying their products out over the coming weeks as I venture through my half marathon training and plan on sharing my results and thoughts with you.
What fueling options due you prefer? Can you recommend any that are vegan or accidentally vegan? Feel free to share!
